"...I have found this disc something of a revelation. The balance of cello and piano is always an interesting one ... Boyan Vodenitcharov is a fabulous pianist ... Rainer Zipperlin... relishes the freedon Beethoven affords him, and the challenges the music poses... The two sets of variations that conclude the disc are testaments to the composer’s fertile imagination and to the performerr’ techniques - I do not this I have heard these works played by a better-suited duo."
