Isaac Stern’s saying ’use the violin to create music, don’t use the music just to play the violin’ proves true in the recording of Beethoven’s concerto (June 3 and 4, 1966). The album begins with the overture Coriolan excellently performed by the Warsaw Nation Philharmonic under Witold Rowicki (5 Nov. 1954)
