[...] A few years later, Haydn made out of free will on the way to London in the autumn of 1790 his employer Prince Nikolaus died and his successor Prince Paul Anton had immediately suspended all musicians, singers and actors. Haydn, however, remained in office, was released from any obligations and received a handsome pension. So he was a free man, than went to see him in November, the violinist and concert entrepreneur Johann Peter Salomon in Vienna, and said, "I am Salomon from London and come to fetch you, tomorrow we will close a chord." Against a fee of 5000 guilders agreed Haydn, for London to compose several new works, including six new symphonies, and to conduct their performances themselves. Haydn saw the new task with great anticipation counter, and when his friend Mozart warned him: "Dad, you have had no training for the big world and talk to a few languages," he said to have replied: "My language is understood throughout the world ". Mathieu Kuttler

"... The period orchestra certainly does justice to these works, and is one I would have no hesitation in recommending,,, "
