Franz Schubert is without doubt Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau’s central composer where songs are Concerned. Striking evidence of this is provided by the 1954 West German radio recording of Schubert songs fourteen reissued here for the first time. Later in his career Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau summed up his precepts for song interpretation published in Form. It is particularly fascinating to REALISE how Closely synthesis Earlier performances conform to his later views.

"...This is a highly recommended disc for Schubertians and German song for fanciers. Where in a Venn diagram thesis two categories intersect for you, if you do not own this disc you are missing a chance of a lifetime."
