  Attacca Quartet Ensemble

Complete String Quartet Works of John Adams including the world premiere recording of "Fellow Traveler".

The internationally acclaimed Attacca Quartet has become one of America’s premier young performing ensembles. The Attacca Quartet is comprised of violinists Amy Schroeder and Keiko Tokunaga, violist Luke Fleming and cellist Andrew Yee, and was formed at the Juilliard School in 2003.  Praised by Strad for possessing “maturity beyond its members’ years,”

"Adams writes compellingly for the string quartet medium, and he gets fine advocacy from the Attaca Quartet... Recommended then without a quibble." ****

Lee Passarella - AudiophileAudition.com - 19 July 2013

"... All three works are quite difficult to play ... The performances are youthful and brash but very persuasive. The Alleged Dances sound more exciting, and the various vernaculr styles Adams alludes to sound more like they’re supposed to. The players also play the works in a different order than the Kronos did (reording is permitted by the composer) and I find the orde much better, too..."
