The superb Chilingirian Quartet plays McEwen with dependable skill, sensitivity, and heartfelt devotion; and the recorded sound is strikng, clear, and natural. Music lovers should be grateful to Chandos for the companys continuing efforts to rescue this wonderful composer from almost complete oblivion.
