In the case of the first two trios these performances are the best available – indeed, it would be hard to imagine a more likeable rendition of the B flat Trio… The Borodin Trio plays the work almost lovingly – listen to the meltingly beautiful passage just before the recapitulation in the first movement…
BBC Music Magazine

The great Russian ensemble, on this bargain reissue of the four Dvorák trios, invest it with a certain deliberateness. Yet so fine is their playing, so consistently beautiful yet varied in tone and rich in expression, that what we experience is not a distortion but a different perspective on the work’s endless inventiveness. The first two movements of the early G minor, which can sound repetitive, are particularly impressive.
