The Musical Offering (BWV 1079) is a collection of contrapuntal sets from Johann Sebastian Bach, all based on a theme of the Prussian King Frederick II.

The specific reason for Helmut Bornefeld’s (1906-1990) 1975 version  for Flute, Violin and Organ, was the inauguration of a new choir organ in the town church of Schorndorf. His version made this magnificent late Bach work available for all to hear and perform within limited resources of the town

"... the musicians here are excellent and well worth the investment..."
