Very radical, very wonderful - Venzago keeps the contrapuntal lines and all the textures clear. Some Brucknerians may lament the lack of fullness and richness, of a traditional Bruckner sound, but I don't; this is frshly read, very exciting, fascinating. No.1 gets the more confrontationally original reading, no.0 is a more expressive, tender approach; both work very well indeed! Fine sound, close, slightly dry. Tapiola Sinfonietta excellent as usual.
