"... This is yet another mandatory issue in a welcome series."

Phillip Scott - Fanfare - January/February 2014

"... an intricate and challengingly unpredictable work[Symphony No 9]. The Berlin players clearly relish it, as they do Panufik’s ever-imaginative scoring, and the tension never lets up. Borowicz provides a firm guiding hand for thisunusual and original work and steers it to a shattering climax. The earlier Concertino (1979/80) is inevitably a slighter piece but one nevertheless full of colour and dramatic imagination... The fourth of the ive movements, ’Canto II’ is particularly haunting but nobody should expect a lullaby: this Concertino is dramatic, varies and highly enjoyable."

Ivan Moody - Gramophone magazine - October 2013
