Over the past years, Stephan Kurman has made a name for himself as jazz bassist and crossover musician far beyond the circle of aficionados of such music. This is due in part to his blending of Afro-Cuban music with contemporary music in his crossover projects. His latest project - live together - is a compelling synthesis of jazz, hardbop, string quartet and the famous Cuban group ’Los Muñequitos de Matanzas’.
