The Merengue is an erotic dance from the Dominican Republic with a strong and accentuated rhythm with a strong Afro-Cuban influence. The dominant instruments are percussion instruments, such as tabora, congas, maracas, guiros and cow-bells, sometimes accompanied by small guitars, called tres and cuatro. Extremely danceable.
