Anastasia Voltchok Soloist
The Russian pianist covers a wide gamut of works in her new Genuin release, from Schumann’s Carnaval to Chopin’s Polonaise-Fantasie, all the way to Rachmaninoff’s Piano Sonata No. 2. The energetic opening gestures in Schumann have just as much tangible presence as the cascading sounds of the Rachmaninoff sonata. In terms of technology and musical prowess, this album meets the same high artistic standard as the previous releases in the Artist Consort series. Absolutely recommended.
