 Many devoted music fans have been anticipating this new GENUIN release by concert accordionist Viviane Chassot. All of those who were swept away by her phenomenal Haydn recording now have a new Rameau recital to look forward to by the Swiss recording artist who also collaborates with the Vogler Quartett and Julian Arp. Chassot interprets the pieces of the Pièces de Clavecin as well as two complete suites with airy fleetness, power and verve. The rustling and fluty tones, the hissing and crashing sounds – the courtiers around Louis XV would have been thrilled by the panoply of color in this performance of unbelievably modern music. It’s as though a harpsichord could breathe...
