That Spain does not consist only of stamping bulls and clicking castanets is proven by the Concerto Málaga chamber orchestra on its debut release with GENUIN. With a velvety string sound, the subtle tonalities of Spanish culture unfold which can often just barely be perceived in the hot, gleaming sunlight. Works by three outstanding musicians are featured in this release - from Felip Pedrell’s fragile reminiscence of days gone by, all the way to the of Enric Morera’s melancholy meditations and nocturnal sketches by Isaac Albéniz.
