You can certainly tell that Cornelia Ptassek is a young singer from her wonderfully flexible, slender and clearly directed voice. On the other hand, you may be astonished to learn that her album with the Mannheim National Theatre Orchestra is her debut album. Ptassek moves with such security and confidence through the great works of the repertoire and exciting new discoveries as well; she interprets Mozart’s Pamina, Cherubini’s Dircé und Puccini’s Liù with grandeur.
