Each of the four seasons possess its own individual charm, whether the freshness of Spring, the sultry heat of Summer, Autumn’s mellow fruitfulness or the sometimes bleak - yet refreshing- stark beauty of the Winter landscape. Composers have been able to capture all these elements in their creations – often in popular songs (such as our opening number April in Paris) and also in reflective, thoughtful works (Victor Young’s In a November Garden and Winter by Horace Shepherd are prime examples).
