Using the exciting medium of the wind ensemble, Russian Expressions is a collection of masterpieces transcribed for band featuring the work of composers like Igor Stravinsky and Sergey Prokofiev.The selections present on this album represent a culturally diverse multi-dimensional collaboration of expression and genre. Led by Colonel Lowell E. Graham, The United States Air Force Concert Band uses its talent and artistry to pay tribute to the legacies of four Russian masters. The tracks on this album are characteristic of these composers’ national heritage and native folklore. The album is divided into four different segments and features songs like " The Firebird’s Entreaties" and "The Adoration of Veles and Ala".
