His operatic overtures, preludes, and interludes have acquired a status as stand-alone concert works. Klaus Tennstedt was completely dedicated to the London Philharmonic Orchestra – a dedication reciprocated by its musicians, staff, and audiences, and pervading the performances here recorded live in 1992.
