"...the chorus and soloists are first rate"

The Penguin Guide

"...A strikingly fine rendition"

Fanfare

"If quality and price are both important, Zdenek Kosler offers a marvelous performance with the Slovak Philharmonic Chorus and Orchestra and four stunning soloists on Naxos. It combines the solemnity of Bohm with the moderate tempos of Davis. Don’t be surprised at this level of quality, for Bratislava (where the recording was made ) is just down the Danube a bit from Vienna."
