Under the title "schlagArtig“ (suddently, art of hiting...) the percussionist Markus Hauke , combines works written for him by the American John Cage “ Composed Improvisation “ (1990) and Bryan Wolf “ … and our words mingle like tears/ and our tears whisper like fire…,“ (1996-99) with compositions from Iannis Xenakis, born in Greece “Psappha” (1922), from  Maki Ishii (Japan) - “Thirteen Drums" (1988) as well as his own piece “ Richard ; ausatmen …” (1989 ) and creates an extraordinary sound experience through differentiated rhythmical precision, an extreme dynamic and a fascinating variation of sound. The various types of drums, bass drums, gongs from Thailand and Bali, Chinese Tamtams, Indian and Korean bells etc. which form this extensive arsenal of exotic percussion instruments, can be heard on this recording.
