Sounds of the World - Russia presents two works by Russian composers of the 19th century, which are to a wide audience today largely unknown: the "String Quartet No. 2 in D Major" (1881) by Alexander Borodin and the "Quintet in B flat major for Piano, Flute, Clarinet, Horn and Bassoon "(1876) by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
chamber ensemble The Classic of the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Wolf Quartet interpreted these two Russian plants in the season 2006/2007. The recordings give parts of the program again, the occasion of the XXII. International Art Festival was played in the Kaliningrad Philharmonic Hall.
