 Maria Chershintseva Soloist


Maria Chertshintseva is a new, young and very gifted artist who starts career with us here at the NCA label with this debut recording. The production of this album was the special prize given by NCA Germany to the winner of the International Shostakovich Competition 2006 at the Academy of Music, Rheinberg. This recording was made at the palace Theatre Rheinberg and played on a semi-concert piano model D-232 of the Bayreuth Klavier manufacturer Steingraeber and Söhne.

Maria Chershintseva Maria was born in 1983 in Magnitogorsk.She was taught at the music school of Natalia Iwanova Kulagina and gained her diploma in  1998 from the Gnesin Music School in Moscow. In 2002 she started her education with Professor Vera Wssiljevna Gornostaeva. 

She has already won several prizes: Skjabin Competition, Alma-Mater competition and three prizes at the Shostakovich Competition, Rheinberg 2006. She is a composer and actor at the ’Russian Seasons’ Theatre in Moscow where her talents are showcased and we can expect much more of her in the future!
