En Aranjuez con tu amor

The “Concierto de Aranjuez” for guitar and orchestra is the work that brought world-wide fame to Joaquín Rodrigo. This concerto and its adagio theme belong to the most eloquent creations of the 20th century. The theme in various forms, along with selected songs and instrumentals are at the heart of the album. Rodrigo’s music is subtle, deeply optimistic and uses the soul of his land, in a multi-layered way, as a source of inspiration. “. . . What the performers offer, in their chamber music versions of original compositions (mainly authorised by the composers), in the way of precision, mood and rich colours is . . . real pleasure.” (FONO FORUM)
