"The orchestra Wiener Akademie was founded by its artistic director Martin Haselböck in 1985. The name of the orchestra, which is dedicated to reproducing authentic sounds, is internationally known for lively interpretation, virtuosity and music-making with a special Austrian flavor. The ensemble has regularly made guest appearances at internationally renowned festivals and concerts, such as the Vienna Festival Concerts, the Salzburg Festival, the Haydn Festival Eisenstadt, the Liszt Festival, the Mozart Festival, Augsburg, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, The Handel Festival Halle, The Mozart Concert Series Salzburg, and the Beethoven Festivals in Bonn and Cracow.
