In regard to this finale (OehmsClassics began with Part IV of the Clavier-Übung), we would like to let the interpreter have his say: I hope that this performance on the instrument closest to Bach, the organ, will encourage listeners to hear the Six Partitas with new ears, to reflect on “The Silence of the World before Bach” and to perceive the great baroque master yet again as Leonard Bernstein once said about him: “Bach was a man and not God, but he was a man of God and his music was blessed by God from the beginning to the end.”
"...the set can be recommended for the impressive sounds that issue from the organ’s pipes, thanks to Albrecht’s willingness to explore its wide rage of registrations and sonic capabilities, to his superb finger and foot work, and to Oehm’s dynamic recording."
