This album features orchestral works by Peter Tchaikovsky, performed by the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Leonid Grin, chief conductor of the ensemble from 1990-94. The orchestral arrangement by Alexander Gauk (1893-1963) of the famous piano cycle The Seasons is coupled with four excerpts from the incidental music to Hamlet.

"(...) the best (and best-sounding) orchestral version of The Months I’ve ever heard."

Donald Vroon - American Record Guide - November/December 1992
