"A Phenomenon Without Equal" is how Marcel Dupre described Pierre Cochereau. His legendary skill at the Organ of Notre Dame in Paris in Improvisation ensured him a stellar worldwide concert career. This CD captures two of these large scale improvisations as well as others composed by Vierne, Dupre and Tournemire.  Virtuoso,  Anthony Hammond gives stunning performances at the Organ of Blackburn Cathedral - an ideal instrument for the French repertoire.
