Here is your invitation to a marvellous party indeed: arguably the finest double album selection of the unique Noël Coward. Noël Coward (1899-1973) was indeed the "Master". Besides being an influential figure of the British theatre as playwright and actor, he was an important songwriter, whose material was always memorably melodic and full of rapier wit and tongue-in-cheek nostalgia. And no-one could perform them quite like the "Master" himself. I Went To A Marvellous Party offers more than two-and-a-half hours of his greatest recordings. All the most famous hits are there: I’ll See You Again, Mad Dogs And Englishmen, A Room With A View, Some Day I’ll Find You, Mrs. Worthington, Mad About The Boy and so many other evergreens. An added attraction is the contribution of Noël’s favourite partner, Gertrude Lawrence, in inimitable scenes from Private Lives and Shadow Play. These are unique period pieces indeed! 37 years on from his death, the Coward legend lives on, and the 45 tracks of this unsurpassed  collection are as popular as ever.
