This album represents a new partnership between Signum Records and The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, one of London’s and the World’s leading period-instrument ensembles. This premiere disc features Claudio Monteverdi’s Vespers of the Blessed Virgin written in 1610, marking the work’s 400th anniversary.

The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment is a world renowned orchestra which plays on original instruments to bring out the very best of classical music as it was intended to be heard.
