Robert Quinney performs a stunning recital of works by Elgar on the organ of Westminster Abbey. Quinney has been Sub-Organist there since 2004, performing a variety of celebrated occassions including the Royal Wedding in April this year. This is Quinney’s second album with Signum, following a double album of recital works by Brahms, wagner and Dupré on the organ of Westminster Cathedral (SIG 089)(where Quinney was Assistant Master of Music from 2000-2004): "His supreme artistry at the organ of Westminster Cathedral transcends the boundries of organ-playing, giving the listner a moving, magical experience." - Gramophone "Quinney’s technique is impeccable and his registration spot on." - BBC Music Magazine
"...Fans of transcritions shoud be ecstatic over this recording." William J Gatens - American Record Guide - July/August 2012
