  Masques Ensemble

For its first recording on the ATMA label, the ensemble Masques presents Rameau’s Pièces de clavecin en concerts, one of the most important collections from the Baroque repertoire.

Under the Aritstic direction of Olivier Fortin, Ensemble Masques is made up of some of the best young Canadian musicians playing on period instruments. The ensemble was created in Montreal in 1998 to perform the vocal and instrumental music of the 17th and 18th centuries. Masques collaborates with talented young Europeans, and with performers from a wide range of backgrounds.
