Even at the founding of the label in 1979 by Andreas Glatt was clear that ACCENT would deal almost exclusively with early music in historical performance practice. These rarities are not taken exclusively for ACCENT to their rarity value, but rather because they are important, yet woefully neglected works, the discovery became a personal concern of the artist.
