Skarbo
Skarbo was founded by Jean-Pierre Ferey, professional pianist who got also two qualifications as engineer, and who had been working before as an artistic supervisor for several labels, such Harmonia Mundi.
The production was first devoted to the French repertoire, with many world premieres of works by Aubert Lemeland , Jean Cras, Charles Kœchlin, Paul Ladmirault, and André Messager, among others. Some of them were widely acclaimed by the press and the audience. Later the meeting with famous flutist Michel Debost led Skarbo to produce a wide flute collection, with many international reknown flute players. The richness of the French organ repertoire and instruments was the decision to create also an organ collection, as well as to record the forgotten piano and organ repertoire.
Today, these collections are enlarged to baroque, classical and contemporary repertoire, following the desire of our artists and keeping the touch of broadmindedness which guided the creation of the label.
