Every summer, visitors flock to Scotland’s capital city as it plays host to the Edinburgh International Festival, a highlight of the European cultural calendar bringing together the world’s leading practitioners in opera, theatre, music and dance. Founded in 2000 by two University of Edinburgh graduates, Delphian Records looks set to make a comparable impact in the world of classical music recording. Motivated by a clear and focused artistic vision, the label has built determinedly on its foundations in specialised and often rarely-visited areas of repertoire. Musical treasures both old and new are uncovered by artists of international calibre. Delphian has developed relationships with some of the UK’s finest composers, organists, choirs and chamber ensembles, and the resulting recordings are produced by a dedicated team of talented engineers, writers and designers. Browse Delphian’s releases to explore the individual – the different. Follow the unfolding story of Delphian’s catalogue in-progress, which continues to expand on a consistent schedule of two releases per month. Allow yourself to sample what has quickly and unanimously won over critics around the globe. Our passions can be yours, too. Share in them, and come to know THE LABEL IN THE FESTIVAL CITY.

DELPHIAN’S CATALOGUE IS, WITHOUT DOUBT, ONE OF THE MOST INTERESTING AMONG THE GROWING NETWORK OF SMALLER BRITISH RECORDING LABELS. THE FREQUENCY OF RELEASES AND THE STUNNING BREADTH OF REPERTOIRE ARE MAJOR FACTORS IN THAT. AND THERE’S A SENSE OF THE DARING THAT YOU SIMPLY DON’T GET WITH THE TATTERED REMNANTS OF THE ESTABLISHED MULTI-NATIONAL GIANTS.’ — The Scotsman
